The Chargers win 12 or more games and win the AFC West
Last season the Chargers finished the regular season with a 12-4 record and won a playoff game on the road against the Baltimore Ravens. They’ve addressed their needs at defensive tackle and linebacker during the offseason and that should play a huge role if they want to make a deep playoff run next season.
The Chargers will have three players go over 900 yards or more
Keenan Allen has went over 1,000 yards three times in his career and he’s more than capable of doing every single season. Allen is a top five receiver in the NFL when healthy. Mike Williams showed flashes of a legit number two receiver for the Chargers. His ten receiving touchdowns led the team last season. He’s a big target that Rivers loves to throw the ball up to. If healthy his production will see a huge jump. Lastly, Melvin Gordon is a top five running back in the NFL right now. If it wasn’t for injury, Gordon would’ve eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing in three straight seasons. I’m predicting Gordon to run for 1200 yards and 12 touchdowns next season.
Joey Bosa has 20 sacks in 2019
Joey Bosa has totaled 28.5 sacks in only three seasons. His production is incredible and he’s played a full sixteen game season just once. Let’s not forget Melvin Ingram is on the other end rushing the passer as well. With the addition of Jerry Tillery, Bosa could see more one on one opportunities to get to the quarterback.
Rundown: The Chargers are loaded with talent all across the board. Positions of need were addressed in the offseason and this team looks like they are ready to compete for a championship. This could be the season we see Philip Rivers get to his first Super Bowl. Watch out AFC West.
